Learning how to use emerging technologies and artificial intelligence that are reshaping the industry, experiencing the movie theater for the first time, participating in professional screenwriting residencies, growing through mentorship from industry leaders, and gaining hands-on experience through internships and on-set immersions are among the flagship opportunities offered by AWA. This training program aims to foster a new generation of autonomous African women creators by equipping them with key skills to tell, produce, and disseminate powerful stories through images. Drawing on a hybrid pedagogy, it combines creativity, technical expertise, and leadership to amplify the voices of young African women in the audiovisual industries.

To access, connect, and support 100 female creators per year across Africa and its diaspora, by giving them the necessary tools, skills, and networks to transform their ideas into viable, exportable, and sustainable projects.
